A Taste of Puglia: Fumo Manchester Hosts Exclusive Supper Club in Support of Maggie’s

An Evening of Exceptional Italian Dining for a Meaningful Cause

San Carlo is set to bring the flavours of Southern Italy to Manchester with an exclusive charity Supper Club at Fumo. “A Taste of Puglia” will take place on Thursday 30th April at 6:30pm, offering guests an intimate four-course dining experience inspired by one of Italy’s most celebrated culinary regions.

The event forms part of San Carlo’s ongoing support for Maggie’s, the charity providing free emotional, practical and social support to people living with cancer and their families. All profits from the evening will be donated directly to Maggie’s, giving diners the chance to enjoy an unforgettable meal while contributing to a vital cause.

A Curated Menu Inspired by Southern Italy

Hosted in Fumo’s elegant upstairs dining space, the Supper Club will showcase a menu rooted in the rich traditions of Puglian cuisine. Guests will enjoy dishes such as focaccia with tomatoes and olives, nodini with capocollo, orecchiette with cime di rapa served from a Parmesan wheel, roasted lamb cutlets with herbs and potatoes, and the classic Pasticciotto Pugliese to finish.

Perfect Pairings

Each course will be accompanied by expertly selected wines, with a welcome cocktail served on arrival. Tickets are priced at £95 per person, inclusive of wine pairings and the full dining experience.

Supporting Maggie’s

Maggie’s Centres, located alongside NHS hospitals, offer a warm and welcoming environment where visitors can access expert guidance, emotional support and a sense of community. Funds raised from the Supper Club will help Maggie’s continue its essential work supporting people affected by cancer.

San Carlo’s Commitment to Community

Marcello Distefano, CEO of San Carlo Group, expressed pride in continuing the company’s support for Maggie’s. He described the Supper Club as a meaningful way to bring people together for an evening of exceptional food while raising money for a vital cause.

San Carlo’s dedication to quality and community has been at the heart of the brand since its beginnings in 1992. From a single 20-table restaurant in Birmingham, the group has grown into an award‑winning international brand employing more than 1,000 people worldwide. Despite its expansion, San Carlo remains proudly independent, with each restaurant led by its own team of skilled chefs and managers.

How to Reserve Your Place

Guests can secure their seats for “A Taste of Puglia” by booking through the official reservation link. With limited availability and all profits supporting Maggie’s, the event promises to be both memorable and meaningful.
