Advertising Sales Manager
Job Description
BROOD the UK’s fastest growing business, family and lifestyle magazine is looking for a positive, talented and confident Advertising Sales Manager (PT) with a solid track record in new business delivery. Maybe you are returning to work after raising a family, or looking for a new challenge in a rewarding role that will compliment your family life, within a friendly and motivated team where work-life balance is one of the companies priorities that is embedded within their ethos.
You will need to be friendly, approachable and assertive with great negotiation skills to sell the advantages of print and digital advertising and sponsorship packages of BROOD.
Salary: £15,000-£19,200 (pro-rata) Basic plus Excellent Commission based Bonus Scheme
Contract: permanent
Hours: 15-20 hours per week –
As ASM you will be responsible for maximising revenues and profit across the publishing output of the magazine – managing UK and international sales.
You will be building relationships mainly to new business clients and the majority of approaches/calls will be outbound. As part of your role you will deliver the best in existing client and new business managements relations, follow up client enquiries, attend exhibitions and networking events, create advertising quotes and negotiate/close business deals, in a manner that fits within BROOD’s company ethos .
MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain relationships with existing advertising clients to maximise revenue in both print and digital
• Canvass for new business from suitable businesses that will benefit from working with BROOD in both print and digital
• Maximise the number of quality calls, both incoming and outgoing to maximise selling opportunities
• Remain consistently aware of clients’ circumstances, business/market trends, magazine changes and budgets to remain informed and maintain a high level of professionalism
• Utilise all available sales aids and marketing information to convert business leads across all magazine mediums
The role is based in Manchester/Hybrid and the hours are flexible. You will receive a generous commission structure, as well as the usual benefits of working for a reputable, forward thinking organisation.
