Chemmy Alcott, Olympian and broadcaster, shared her insights on resilience, high performance, and finding balance in family life. Michelle Griffith-Robinson, Olympian and coach, offered practical strategies on discipline, confidence, and achieving sustainable success both at home and at work. Kate Ball, founder of Mini First Aid, recounted her journey of scaling a family-focused brand with heart. Attendees enjoyed honest, actionable talks and real-world strategies that could be applied immediately. The agenda included practical sessions covering time management, financial wellbeing, mindset, and navigating the mental load of modern parenting. The event fostered a welcoming, ego-free community of ambitious mums and dads, providing genuine networking opportunities that helped attendees build meaningful connections.
Culinary highlights were a key part of the day. Guests began their morning with fresh pastries and fruit on arrival, setting a relaxed and sociable tone. At lunch, they chose from starters like Burrata e Pomodoro—burrata from Corato in Puglia with marinated beef tomato carpaccio and fresh basil—or Carpaccio di Manzo, featuring very thinly sliced raw beef with Cipriani dressing, rocket, and Grana Padano shavings. For mains, options included Salmone alla Griglia—fresh grilled salmon with prawns and a pink peppercorn dill sauce—or Risotto Porcini, a creamy risotto with porcini mushrooms and Italian truffle. Side dishes of longstem broccoli sautéed in chilli and garlic, and patate arrosto—sautéed baby new potatoes with rosemary and onions—rounded out the menu.
BROOD Live London last week truly delivered a day of inspiration, connection, and practical support for working parents and parentpreneurs.

From School Runs to Holiday Drives: The Real-Life Impact of Upgrading to 19 Inch Alloy Wheels

Family life means a car quickly becomes more than just transport. For instance, it becomes the school-run shuttle, the Saturday sports gear carrier, the late-evening supermarket dash, and even the long-distance holiday car. Therefore, with the car doing so many jobs, parents naturally look for upgrades that genuinely improve comfort, safety, and reliability. One change that’s often undervalued is switching to 19 Inch alloy wheels, which is a modification that can noticeably change how a family car handles day to day.

How Small Habits Can Make Life’s Disruptions Easier to Handle

Handle

Stress is an ongoing fact of life for many. Modern life can unfold extremely quickly, and sometimes it might seem that there’s no opportunity to pause for breath.
But this needn’t always be the case. Sometimes, the small things which add to daily workload or stress can be managed by finding the right habits and principles which work for you. But what, exactly, should these principles look like? Let’s take a look.

Beyond Compliance: Why Water Safety Remains Essential for Business

A quick perusal of the list of penalties for breaches of UK water safety standards should concentrate the minds of anyone with a business that provides water to customers and staff.

Prosecutions are carried out by the HSE, which will often go after non-compliers under two main pieces of legislation: the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974) or the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (2002) (COSHH).
If you’re found in breach of either of these two laws, you can expect a substantial fine, a winding-up order, and, in the most egregious cases, a prison term.

That being said, background checks can end up taking a long time, and can become an unwelcome delay for all parties involved. As a result, lots of organisations will be looking for ways to streamline the process, typically through automation – let’s look at which parts can (and which parts can’t) be automated.

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at what conveyor sorters systems are, how they work, and where they can be useful.
